BYOD




LET US BRING ANY TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET TO SCHOOL!



BYOD, also referred to as BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology), is the practice of people bringing their own laptops, tablets, smartphones, or other portable devices with them to learning or work environments. 
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) which is facilitating ubiquitous learning and productive gains. It is important to mention that in less than one year the education system will be spreading this practice around the United States








WHATSAPP GOES TO THE EFL CLASSROOM.


Let us use WhatsApp in  the EFL!



Little research has been done on the use of WhatsApp in the EFL classroom, but so far some has been done as Bouhnik, D., & Deshen, M. (2014) say to understand better the phenomenon and the meaning people attribute to it.

In  order to understand the social app,I present a series of slides  that will help out English tech teachers.










                                             






























MEXTESOL


On October 8, 2016.Angel Tellez was invited to present in a conference in Mexico City. He presented the use of WhatsApp in the EFL.


Angel Tellez created the first group of WhatsApp for the members of Mextesol chapter Mexico City, a social platform that will be used to share information, update, communicate with academics and to nature the social atmosphere.

BIODATA


Angel Tellez Tula attended a grade in Pennsylvania. In 2013, he obtained a degree in teaching English as a foreign language (specialty in secondary).  He has been teaching for six years at all levels. He has obtained three TKT modules given by the University of Cambridge; recognized teaching qualifications for teachers of primary, secondary and adult English learners. Also, he has obtained the TTC (Teaching training course) with a technical degree as an English teacher for adolescents and adults expired from the Anglo.

He finished his Master´s degree in Educational Technology at Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP). At the present time he is studying his master’s degree at Buap ; Enseñanza del Inglés. He has also dabbled in literature and is working on his first historical-fiction novel ”The Windmill” which participated in an international competition for Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University . Finally, He is a member of Mextesol’s association and has been very participative in these years presenting as a speaker. He presented on October 2016 at Mexico’s City Chapter with the use of “WhatsApp in the EFL environment”, and on December he also presented the same talk at Puebla’s chapter at the Universidad del Valle de Puebla. Finally, in 2017, he presented in Puebla “Edmodo as a useful online platform in an EFL environment”. Moreover, he presented in November at the international convention at Leon Guanajuato, Mexico.“The use of WhatsApp in the EFL”.
